Procudure - SLA :
1 ) Convert 3D data into (.stl ) file format.
2 ) Using the SLA 3D software program, place Virtual Objection the Virtual Part Tray.
3 ) Using the SLA 3D software program, select layering and design Part Support Structures.
4 ) The computer control the Ultraviolet Laser drawing the part design according to the 3D data sectioned information of each layer onto the Photopolymer Resin point by point.
5 ) The Photopolymer Resin reacts to the UV Laser, curing and forming a thin solidified layer.
6 ) After the solidification of one layer, the Part Tray will lower 0.1 to 0.15 mm and will wipe off the residual resin to allow another layer of Photopolymer Resin to be drawn and solidified.
7 ) Each new layer solidifies to the previous solidified layer. This layer by layer process will repeat until the entire piece is complete.
8 ) When complete, the Part Tray will rise to the top. The sla part and part tray are tilted to allow any uncured Photopolymer Resin to drain off. The part is removed off and cleaned using alcohol.
After the part is clean and the structural supports are removed , that finishing.
What is SLA?
SLA Laser Shaping process with material adopted COSMO’s photosensitive resin 14120,is a rapid prototyping process that create a product based on 3D data.
The machine builds parts one layer at a time using a highly accurate UV laser to solidify one layer of photosensitive resin.
It is the original Rapid Prototyping technique, and still the most commonly used.
It is comparatively low-cost.
It utilizes a light-sensitive liquid polymer.
It requires post-curing since laser is not intense enough to fully cure.
Extended curing can cause warping.
Parts are somewhat brittle and have a tacky surface.
There is no milling process, so dimensional accuracy can suffer.
Support structures are typically required.
The process is simple: Neither milling nor masking steps are required.
Uncured material should be expected to emit toxic fumes. Thorough ventilation is necessary
